Uniti Update 27: Our award-winning electric car Uniti in Silverstone

Welcome to Uniti Update episode #27! It’s been a big month for Uniti, from the news of our pilot production plant to the announcement of our upcoming crowdfunding campaign. In this episode, we take a closer look at our plans for the UK and how things are shaping up with our vehicle development team.

We received a lot of valuable input from well-known electric mobility influencers at our press event in Silverstone. In this episode, you can hear about Uniti’s impact in the EV scene from Robert Llewellyn (presenter of the popular YouTube series, Fully Charged), John Griff (presenter on BBC Radio), and many other outstanding EV advocates. #TeamUniti also took a trip to London and met up with key government personnel to discuss strategies about setting up business in Silverstone and England. We met with Lawrence Davies, Chief Adviser from the Department of International Trade and talked about what Uniti’s entry into UK brings to the country.

We are excited to announce an important partnership with light-weighting experts KW Special Projects, the team working with our engineers to help accelerate efforts toward our production-ready vehicle. The focus of our current phase is a data-driven feasibility study, one in which KW Special Project is assisting in an intensive process of reviewing, analyzing, reflecting and validating our existing vehicle data. This is just one of the many strategic partnerships we plan to announce in the coming months as we take the Uniti One toward mass production.

Besides, we take you along to the award ceremony of the Veckans Affärer E-Prize competition where we won two prices! Not only did we win in the category of sustainable transport, but by a whopping 62.8% of the total votes we also won the overall “People’s Choice” award. Thanks to each and everyone of you who voted for us!
