Uniti Update 28: Electric vehicles are here to stay – are you in?

Welcome to Uniti Update episode #28!

2018 is going out with a bang for Uniti. As we get ready for the holidays, we can celebrate a very busy month of industry events, big announcements, and the successful start of our crowdfunding campaign on Crowdcube www.crowdcube.com/uniti

We are in the UK again, but this time we’re staying in London! We hosted a well-received event for investors, journalists and pre-order costumers. Those attending got to hear from our CEO Lewis Horne, Vehicle Development Director Sally Povolotsky and our Chairman Michael Molitor regarding our strategies in the UK and our crowdfunding campaign on the British platform Crowdcube.

You’ll also get an insight into the battery pack when Martin from Danecca explains the structure and design as well as target specifications. The effort being put into creating sustainable batteries both in terms of resource use and recycling has been immense. We are also working hard to ensure that the raw materials used for making our batteries are responsibly and ethically mined.

Well back in Sweden we were at the conference Smart Cities in Stocholm together with our partner Deloitte. This partnership revolves around working out a business model and economic strategy around MaaS (Mobility as a service) and how to make this transition into smart cities feasible. All to achieve Unitis goal of getting a million cars off the road!

Furthermore, you’ll get an intense and exciting insight into the 2018 eCarExpo in Gothenburg and all the electric vehicles there. Uniti was actually at the eCarExpo in 2016 and we noticed a huge difference both in terms of recognition of our company, and the EV industry at large. The turnout of the event and the number of exhibitors was significantly larger and this is one more clear sign that electric cars are here to stay. We had a booth together with our partner E.ON where visitors could talk to both companies and we could explain how E.ON’s solar energy is given to Uniti costumers free of charge.
